You probably know a thing or two about government repossessed car auctions and are interested to buy a car there at a huge discount. Or you could be interested to resell them for profits. Whatever reason that may have sparked your interest, you do need to know how to locate these government repossessed car auctions.

All good things do not come easy. The fact that these auctions are hardly publicized makes it quite a challenge to find it. If you are fortunate, you may hear it from someone in the know or simply are in the business. This is why many cheap auto auctions come and go without you even knowing that they exist. What can you do to prevent this from happening and get posted of the ongoing government seized auto auctions?

Some people have resorted to conduct their detailed search. Reading the local and national newspapers for auction listings is one way. But you have to do that regularly. Classified ads are great places to find them. But there is a big problem when you find one advertised in the widely read newspapers. Too much news coverage means too much attention. That would mean you have more bidders in the auctions, and you would end up facing stiff competition.

The vehicles sold are all from repossession and the government is keen to sell them really cheap. Very often, their prices start at a steep 90% off the retail prices. Obviously, when things are so cheap, do not expect them to have deep advertising budgets. A lot of these government auto auctions are organized by small time private auctioneers. This kind of auction is what you should target as this means a high chance of buying at dirt cheap prices with zero competition.

What you can do is to liaise with local or state government agencies and check out on the auto auction venues and dates. This can take some time, but the effort would be worth it when you drive home a near new sports convertible from one of these auctions.

But before you do that, remember to do a check also at the banks and lenders. They are one huge source of repossessed vehicles. Many of the vehicles are actually seized from loan defaulters. They would be able to advise you on when and where the auto auctions are taking place.

If you are simply too lazy or have no time to go through all the hassle of calling and checking, then there is another alternative for you. Nowadays, there are online databases that provide you with the latest information and news on the government repossessed car auctions near you. And the beautiful thing is you can conduct as many searches as you wish without limitations for a small fee.

Search for your dream car at the nearest government repossessed car auctions now through the listed site below.

Davion is crazy about fast cars. Uncover useful tips on seized car auctions such as where to find cheap seized car auctions near your home at his wildly successful car blog.

If you are on a tight budget you might want to consider buying cheap old cars for sale, either online or from used car dealers. There are also many old cars being sold through auction, which is one of the best ways in getting cars at a greatly reduced price. Most online car auctions will feature both old and later models, and you expect that most bidders will aggressively contest for the later models driving the price high.

The good news however, most old cars will be sold at a very cheap price to speed up their disposal.

What you must need to remember though is to make sure that parts are still available in the market for replacement and maintenance purposes. This is to ensure that you will be able to enjoy your car and improve its appearance as well as its performance, especially if you know something about mechanics.

Take the time to inspect in detail all the aspect of the car that you are interested in, and never do it in a hurry. Test drive to get a feel of the car performs, and if you’re not keen in car engines and all its jargon, it would be best to bring along someone who has some knowledge to help you in your inspection.

You can buy cheap old cars either directly from owners, car dealers or auction houses. The choice is yours, although the pertinent details remain the same. Make sure that registration papers are complete as well as safety standards and other documents included in the purchasing of vehicles.

Government seized car auctions is one good way to buy used cheap cars. Not many people know you can buy cars from the government and this helps to keep the bidding price low. Since the cars need money to be maintained and stored, the government agencies are more than willing to sell these seized cars at cheap prices.

You can often find used seized cars that are still brand new, less than a year old being sold for more than 90% off the retail market value.

Unless you are hibernating or watching too much football for the past years, you must have heard of government seized car selling dirt cheap. Everyday, for so many years now, government agencies have been selling seized cars to the highest bidder. (This is not only limited to surplus and repossessed cars. There are also boats, aircraft, electronic devices, office equipment, furniture, heavy machineries, and foreclosed or seized lots and houses.)

How is it possible?

It may sound to you that the government is so desperate to sell these seized cars but the truth is, seized vehicles occupy a lot of space, which in turn is equivalent to money spend on storage. So, the government agencies willfully sell these vehicles to anyone who is willing to pay for them through auction. Another reason is that the money generated from these government seized car auctions are extra income which will go back to public services.

How come I do not know this?

Government seized cars are not so commonly know to the public for obvious reasons. Government agencies will not spend on advertising these auctions. So very few people know which agencies have auctions unless the person is well informed.

Where are government seized car auctions held?

Government seized car auctions are held all across the country. There might be one near you. But no, it is not advisable to head to your local county or government building and ask about it. They will not likely give you such information. What you should do is to know where exactly to go. Here are some of the government agencies that hold seized car auctions:

- Federal law enforcement agency

- Local Police agency

- County Sheriff department

- Internal Revenue Service

- General Service Administration

- Small Business Administration

- State tax department

- U.S. Bankruptcy Court

- U.S. Customs

- U.S. Postal Service

- U.S. Marshall

Government seized car auctions are also available online. Most of these sites require a membership fee between $20 and $60 for you to be able to access the list of seized cars on sale. The main advantage of this is that you can conveniently bid for a car that is located thousands of miles from you. And since not so many people know about these plus the fact that the government wants to dispose these immediately, you can easily win any car you want at a very low price.

To search for seized car auctions, visit http://www.repocarforsale.net

Are you looking for ways to buy an automobile from a government car auction in Houston, Texas? There are several tips that can get you started to buy a car at rock bottom prices, sometimes as low as $200.

When searching for a Houston government car auction in Texas, you are basically buying either a repossessed vehicle the state agencies like DEA, IRS and FBI have confiscated or a government pre-owned or surplus vehicles. Cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles – you name it, they have it.

Do not assume that these are all old and broken vehicles. It is hardly the case as many of them are only a few years old. You can even find sports convertibles at such government car auctions in Houston. The advantage of buying your automobile there is the heavily discounted prices. Due to laws and regulations, many are offered on auction for dirt cheap prices, way below what they could fetch in the open car resale market. We are talking about up to 95% off the retail value.

Where to find a government car auction in Houston?

One way to search is the local newspapers and online news websites like The Houston Chronicle and Houston Press. You can extend the search to Texas newspapers as well to widen your reach. After all, each city is a short drive away. Be sure to check the classified and advertisements sections. These are where they will list Houston government car auctions.

Another method is to search the official websites of the public service agencies. Go to websites of DEA, IRS and FBI and the local police departments. They may announce the auction events on their announcement boards.

The third way is by far the most convenient and instant one. Nowadays, there are online automobile auction directories that provide all news and announcements of current and future government car auctions in USA. You will be able to see the schedule, the venue as well as the car makes in some cases.

By just paying a nominal fee, you can enjoy unlimited access to the entire database. This is ideal whether you are looking to buy a car for personal use or running a resale car business. At least, you know how to plan your route over the weekend and pop over a few of such auctions.

Why wait? Start your search now to grab your dream car from a government car auction in Houston, Texas now.

Ohio public auto auctions have been going on for years now. Here, where a majority of business transactions involve transporting of cargoes from one area to another, cars are the ultimate needs of people. And it is not that easy to choose the right one that can answer your needs. If buying a new vehicle is not within the budget yet, then an alternative will be to go to auto auctions in Ohio, where everyone can find a great car deal. If you don’t know where to find where the cars are auctioned, you can check the newspapers in Ohio. With 145 newspapers in or near Ohio, it’s not hard to miss a car auction in the state.

If you are in some place like in Bryan, Ohio, you can check out auction houses like Wilson Auction & Realty Co. There’s also the Mannheims Ohio Auto Auction at Grove City, Ohio. These car auction houses are just a few places where automobiles are being offered at unbelievable rates of a fraction of its retail value. Public auctions are more practical nowadays since you will be given the chance to choose the car that you think is not that overused. But remember, vehicles that are being put to auction are repossessed or foreclosed, which means that they have been in use by the original owner for a few months or maybe a year only. So when you buy in car auctions, it is like you are buying a new car at a bargain price.

Affordable Low Bidding Rates

Each month more than a thousand automobiles in Ohio are being seized and foreclosed by the police and IRS following the laws of the state. And these automatically become government property that is why they gain the right to put them to sale. Since more used cars are being open for government car auction, trust that they are being sold at a cheaper price. This is to eliminate the high costs of storing them, which is why these bidding events should happen fast. Bidding of repossessed cars usually starts from as low as a hundred dollars.

Great Variety of Cars to Choose From

Sometimes you are being stressed with what type of car to buy. Choosing the right model can be a difficult decision. That is why it is just right to make sure that you get what you really want and need. There is no better way in getting your next automobile than in seized car auctions in Ohio. You will realize that buying a new vehicle can be fun too with the many types of autos to choose from. These maybe previously used cars, that is why you should also be careful in getting the right one. But buying through surplus and government auctions can be trusted since they are bound by laws of the state. Who knows, maybe you will finally find your dream car in Ohio public auto auctions.

Bidding with the right amount, choosing the appropriate car type, and properly assessing your prospective automobile will surely give you the best car deal you can have at every Ohio car auction.

One way for an entrepreneur to benefit and to gain more is to always remember the golden rule of business: to buy low and to sell high. Gaining access to a lot of resources especially online resources, which offers very low prices is a good beginning to increase your profits.

There are several websites that lists government seized car auctions, land properties and other possible items covered under these terms. Since government and other financial institutions’ auctions are not always open to the general public, only those who are direct sources are certainly allowed to buy and bid from them.

That is why, for small-time entrepreneurs or starters in this buy-and-sell business, they are advised to make use of web sites which would sponsor and help them find and buy government seized properties and vehicles.

Here are some of the best sites where you could find the greatest deals and bargains.

Gov-Auctions.org – Government seized cars and property website. This site offers a wide variety of government seized properties, from high class cars, houses, up to surpluses of machines, furniture and office items.

GovernmentAuctions.org – The Official Guide to Government Auctions and Foreclosures. These site offers thousands of properties seized by the state and local government agencies.

SeizedPropertyAuctions.com – The Official Website of Federal Asset Recovery Services. This also has a wide collection of properties seized from liquidation open for auction such as art collection, jewelries, deposits from safe banks, antiques, furs, old coins, not to mention quality cars, boats, real estate, etc.

These government seized car auctions allows you to buy cheap used cars for as much as 70% off the current market value. However, as most of these cars are sold as is, it is essential you have some knowledge of cars so that you can determine the rough value of a car.

If you don’t have the experience or knowledge, it would be better to bring along a friend or a car mechanic to help ascertain the true value of a car.

If you are looking for the best government seized auctions to buy seized cars, I recommend Gov Auctions. Check out my Gov Auctions review and learn how to buy cheap used cars for as much as 90% off retail price.

Joining national car auctions is a great opportunity to find a great vehicle at an unbelievably affordable price. Every year different local and state governments and law enforcement agencies regularly auction off used cars. These automobiles are seized or impounded vehicles from the various departments. They are then accumulated and sold off at public auto auctions. The primary reason behind this is not to gain money for the government but to recover expenses they incurred for towing and storage of the vehicles while under their custody. This is also the reason why they can sell these used cars at these vehicle auctions for a bargain.

Whose Car Am I Buying?

When you participate in national car auctions, the used automobiles that are up for grabs can come from anywhere. However, the vehicles for a government auto auction are vehicles seized from criminals. These vehicles are usually seized by the government and sold off at auto auctions. If you are lucky, many dealerships who might be involved in criminal activity have brand new automobiles seized and they almost always end up in these car auctions. Apart from law violators, the used cars could come from government organizations that retire their vehicles. This would include police cars and other government service vehicles.

Most of these used cars have racked up on mileage. However, they are usually well maintained. There are also seized vehicles coming from banks and lending companies. These were confiscated when a debtor fails to pay back their loans. To recover from their losses, the banks and lending companies sell these vehicles at car auctions.

All of the vehicles sold at national car auctions are different. They have different models and make. It is necessary for you to do your research and check the used cars thoroughly before placing your bid. Determine what type of automobile you are looking for before heading out to the auction field.

Once you have found a car that you want, make sure to check it thoroughly. It would be helpful if you could check the Vehicle Identification number or VIN and mileage. This will help you get a rough idea of the car that you want to get. It is also imperative that you understand how the car auction process works like what type of details they would require in case you won a bid. The Internet is a great place find answers about car auctions, you just need to spend some effort looking for it.

National car auctions have become an affordable way for many people to find the car of their dreams.

State government auctions are great places to find cars, especially when you want to save money and still have a luxury vehicle. Each year, thousands of vehicles are confiscated or repossessed and sold for a fraction of their value at auctions that are held by banks, police departments and federal institutions like the IRS and the FBI. These tips will show you what you need to do to find the car of your dreams at a state auction.

Basic Information

Typically, you will wait for several months for state government auctions to be held. In some counties across the nation, only one auction is held per year. You can find the schedule for your local area auctions by checking online, or by contacting a local chamber of commerce or police department. These official county departments should be able to direct you to the next auction in your local area.

You will also need to have a legal driver’s license and be at least eighteen to purchase a car from a state auction. Your local auctions may have slightly different regulations, but you will have several days before the auction to prepare for any other types of documentation or fees needed to participate in the auction.

Choosing Your Car

When you attend a state government auction to purchase a car, you will definitely want to arrive a couple of days before the auction to look at the cars that are being sold. This will allow you to check the car’s engine and other features before you purchase it. Even though most of the cars that are sold are in good working order, there are no warranties or refunds on the vehicles so it is a good idea to make sure you are happy with the car before purchase.

Most state government auctions will not let you test drive the vehicles, although you may bring in anyone you like to look the vehicles over to ensure they are running properly. In most cases, however, you will be pleased with the overall function of vehicles sold by state governments. These are cars that have simply been confiscated, whether due to back taxes or a host of other reasons.

How Much Will I Pay?

When you buy cars from state government auctions, the prices will very depending on the car that you want and how much the starting bid is. Some cars, especially older models, will sell for much less than you would expect. Other cars, such as luxury automobiles that are in high demand, will sell for a significantly higher price. In order to get the best price on the vehicle you want, you can take the time to research the options.

Remember, a car that is in excellent condition is worth far more than one that is in need of repairs. Some interior damage may be found in cars that have been seized by police, but this minor damage is simple and inexpensive to repair. More important concerns should be the motor and transmission, which can take several thousand dollars to repair even when doing the repairs at home.

Search through our listing of thousands of state government auctions that appear daily. In addition, find out more on government auctions near and out of your area by going to our site.

Government used car auctions are one of the most reliable places for you to look for a new car. You will typically find that all cars have a title with them that is checked for liens before purchase, which will ensure you are getting a car that is not only cheap, but also free and clear so that you can begin to enjoy it immediately.

Ask Questions

Not all auctions that sell cars are government used car auctions. In fact, there are many auction houses that are in no way affiliated with the government at all. To find a real government auction, check online to verify the auction house, or simply ask around locally about other people’s experience with the dealer. In some cases, you may find that the car didn’t come with any paperwork, causing delays in getting the car out and onto the road. If you are concerned about the paperwork, all you really need to do is ask whether or not the car will come with a free and clear title.

Also, make sure that you assess the car for damage, or ask about previous ownership. Typically, you will find that government car auctions are a great place to find cars that are in good working order, but that is not always the case. In most auctions, you can start the car, check the tires and engine and even bring in your own mechanic to look at the car for you to ensure you are getting a dependable car at an affordable price.

Auction Premiums and Fees

In most government car auctions, there are no registration fees unless an outside auction company has been hired to run the auction. You will find out about any registration fees before you bid, however, so there are no surprises after you have won an auction. To register for an auction, you should be prepared with your valid driver’s license, and be over the age of eighteen to bid. Fees can vary depending on the auction house that you use.

Unlike registration fees, buyer’s premiums and fees for online auctions will depend on the auction house or site that you are using to bid. In some cases, a buyer’s premium can be up to ten percent of the total sale, which will be added onto the winning bid. When using a website to bid, you may be asked to pay a fee to use the site before you are allowed to bid. Each type of fee is uniquely associated with the website that you have chosen to use, so you may want to consider shopping around for a site that is affordable.

Warranties

Most government car auctions do not offer any kind of warranty on their car, but some online auction sites will guarantee their car for a certain length of time after the sale date. In addition, you may be able to purchase an extended warranty immediately after buying the car to ensure you are covered just in case something goes wrong. Even though most cars are these auctions are reliable, it is a good idea to cover all your bases.

Cars are being sold from 95% Off Retail Value. There is absolutely no reason for you not to buy a car now. Do a free search for the car that you want in your local state by going to government car auctions

In the past several decades, the government has been confiscating vehicles from people associated with crime. These vehicles are taken from thieves, people associated with tax evasion, and other crimes that are usually non-violent. These cars are temporarily taken off of the street and quickly put up for sale by the government. The only way the government does not lose money is by trying its best not to keep an inventory. What this means is that the government marks down the value of the car drastically, sometimes up to 90% off, so that the car will be sold quickly. The cars that are confiscated range from rusty old beaters all the way up to new models with luxury packages and supped up engines. No matter the make, model, year, or condition, the government wants to get rid of it and wants to get rid of it fast. This is where a select few of individuals have begun to find perfectly fine, reliable, up-to-date cars that are extremely affordable.

There is only one unknown variable in all of the glory. The government does not perform tests on the vehicle or background checks to ensure it is not a lemon or to make sure it was not in some past accident that left the vehicle with a hidden structural defect; however, this can be done by anyone with a computer with today’s technology. Every car has a VIN number, a vehicle identification number, which stays with the vehicle from the minute it rolled off the assembly line that tracks accidents and other potential problems that the car has run into. This number can serve as a background check, just like a background check for individuals applying for jobs, and can make or break a deal if you are looking into buying one of these confiscated cars.

There are many places online to go to run the number through the system for red flags. Carfax.com and Autocheck.com are two very reputable companies that will do this for you for a relatively low price. The knowledge and peace of mind you will gain by knowing all, if any, accidents the vehicle was part of will help ascertain if the price paid was good. Keep in mind however, that even if a vehicle was part of a accident, that it doesn’t necessarily mean the car is corrupt, broken, or indeed have hidden structural damage, but if you have the report in hand as you are giving the car a look over for yourself you may want to focus on certain parts of the car to ensure everything was taken care of as it should have.

The confiscated cars are usually a great way to make a profit if you plan to resell them or just a great way to purchase a car for yourself. With the help of running the vehicles VIN number, you can ensure purchasing a quality vehicle that hopefully will last longer in your possession than that of the criminal.

SUVs, sedans, trucks, specially-fitted patrol vehicles and other kinds of automobiles are available for bidding at these auctions. Do not be surprised to see different car makes including luxury brands both Japanese and Continental at these places. Car makes like Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Acura, Cadillac, Infiniti, GM, Ford, Chrysler and even top of the line wheels like Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Lamborghini and Aston Martin can be found at a small fraction of their original prices.

Many of them fall below the 3 year old mark and have covered mileages of less than 35,000 miles.

Why are Cars Seized by the Government and Sold Cheaply in Auctions?

There are various laws governing the seizure of vehicles including anti-mob laws and tax laws. Some of these cars are seized from drug and criminal syndicates. Others belong to folks who default on tax payments and these are normally acquired by the IRS. Yet there are others who are caught in bankruptcy suits that led to the eventual surrendering of their automobiles to the government agencies.

Everyday, thousands of cars end up in seized car auctions because the government agencies do not wish to waste money in maintaining them. Huge storage spaces as well as the depreciation of these used cars make it more imperative for them to auction the repossessed vehicles at depressed prices.

Who Can Take Part in These Seized Car Auctions

Until recently, many people do not know about these auctions. For a long while, these auto auctions are privy only to used car dealers. So these businessmen have been keeping mum about it and quietly profiting from them.

Seized car auctions are either closed or open. Closed auctions are open only to those who have an approved license to bid, while others are accessible to the general public. As long as you are above 18 years of age, you can purchase a repossessed used car at the auction.
